Now, the process is simple comparatively than before.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO ?

1). Keep your Aadhaar number at hand.

2). Now, you have to call the toll-free number 14546 from the mobile number whether you are using Airtel, Idea, Jio and Vodafone or any other operator.

3). To complete the re-verification process, follow the steps directed by the IVR, to complete the re-verification process. Choose the language you want you use whether HindI or English. You can set it as default language for further communications to Vodafone IVR etc.

Easy steps comparatively before, to re-verify your mobile number.

4). On calling 14546, first you will be asked to select whether you are an Indian national or an NRI by selecting the respective option like input 1 for Indian national or input 2 for NRI. Listen carefully to the IVR instructions.

5). After this, your consent will be asked to link Aadhaar with your phone number by pressing 1
After that, you need to provide your Aadhaar number and press 1 to confirm. Then, IVR ask you that OTP will be sent to your mobile number to ensure that you are owner of that mobile number and using it.

6). The OTP is generated that you will receive on your mobile phone.
Here, you are asked to give consent to your operator to pick your name, photo and date of birth from UIDAI  data base.

7). When you give consent, the IVR now mentions the mobile number to confirm.

8). After confirming, it will ask you to enter the OTP you received on SMS and now you can enter it.
You must press 1 to complete the Aadhaar-mobile number re-verification process here again.

9). For safety purpose, don't share this OTP when it's working to anyone. Complete your request to re-verify mobile number first.

10). After this, IVR will ask you if you hold another phone number. You can press 0 if not or selecting other option incase yes as ino trusted by IVR. You can link that too by pressing 2 and following the steps provided by the IVR system. Keep your other mobile phone handy as you will receive the OTP on this number. You will get messages on your mobile numbers that your re-verification request is on processing and it will take 24 or 48hrs.

11). The OTP you receive for Aadhaar-mobile phone re-verification is valid for 30 minutes, so you can use it even there is some network problem and the call terminates prematurely. However, I found that I have to start the whole process again following and repeating all the steps again if the OTP is not entered on given time provided by IVR. It will tell you to start again the whole process.

12). Subscribers who are on corporate plans do not need to undergo the re-verification process.

13). Another important thing is Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone have activated the service. Jio already takes Aadhaar number to activate the SIM card, Jio subscribers do not need to re-verify on the network, according to customer care executives. However, it is better to confirm it there.

14). Previously, February 2018 was last date to re-verify your mobile number but it has been said now that you can re-verify your mobile number till 31st March. Contact your sim card service provider for this.

There may be changes in steps or date as noticed in last months too. Plz keep an eye on government notifications and latest updates so that you cannot miss anything regarding it.
