How to fix insufficient storage error on android.Find out answer on hitechshe

Let me tell you one thing , I am not a tech. expert but yes I am very much interested in technology. I will share info here which is tried by myself when I face certain issues.

How To Fix In-sufficient Storage Error In Your Android Smartphone

Here are the steps which you can try to resolve this issue.

 First :-

This step is general and everybody knows it. Use microsd card or memory card.  I know you know it well. Use of external memory card will be very helpful in this case. By this method, you can extend memory of your smartphone.

  Second :-

Now, you have memory card and still the same error is coming then, Follow these steps :

1) Go to the settings

2) Open it and go to "Application Manager".

3) Now go to the "sd card"

4). You will see here box in front of apps. which you have downloaded.

5) Tick in the box to transfer any app. from internal memory of the phone to the external memory card.

  Third :-

You can try this also if you are getting less memory error.

1) Go to settings

2) Then click "Applications Manager"

3) Open "All Applications"

Remember one important thing here. Don't try to remove any important app. as it can make your android function improperly. Be cautious while removing data & cache. You can remove cache and data of downloaded apps.  You can click and open downloaded apps.  for this.

4) Open each app. and remove cache. If still problem exists, remove data too.

You can remove both cache and data and restart your phone too. However, removing cache is a solution to insufficient storage and deleting cache makes the app. start again which results on slow processing.

Still it is a nice way to get out of this problem.

  Fourth :-

Sometimes, you just need to  reboot  your phone and it works.

  Fifth :-

You can remove unwanted applications which you are not using. Such apps. occupy space unnecessarily and you face the problem of insufficient storage on your Android. Uninstall apps. which you are not using anymore.

  Sixth :-

Move your photos and music files from internal memory to external memory card. You can make different folders on microsd.

1). Go to the option "My files".

2). Open it and you will get recent files, images, music files etc. as shown in the pic above.

3) Now, open the option from which you have to move your files or newly downloaded files from internal phone memory to external sd card.Suppose, you have to transfer songs then open "music files" option.

4) After it you will get songs list.

Click the three dots on the right side of the top of the screen. You will get "select" option.

5) Click it and you will get boxes in front of all songs to tick. Choose the song and then again click three dots on the right side of the top of the screen. You will get menu list in which one option will be "Move".

Select it and then you will get two choices - device storage and sd card.

Choose sd card and then click "Move here" option. Now, here you can make folders according to your files and wish.

Don't forget to transfer new files when you download them everytime.

  Seventh :-

Sometimes, certain applications get updated automatically. You can change your setting and disable "automatic update" option.

You can also "uninstall updates". When you do this the app. returns to the factory mode thatis inbuilt form in which it came in the android smartphone when you purchased it. In case of downloaded apps., you can uninstall latest updates.

  Eighth :-

Remove cache of google playstore and google playservices and restart your phone.

All these steps were tried by myself when I had faced same issue and my problem got solved everytime.

When an android phone has no option left which can make it run well then the last option is factory reset

  Nineth :-

Factory reset your smartphone. Don't forget to backup data before doing it.

By this method, your phone will reach to the state as it was in when you have purchased it. Also don't forget to take microsd out from your phone before doing it.
